Like you, I found the pen writing a little too wet and may, at some point, play with adjusting the nib. I have Diamine Denim in mine. I only did about a page of writing but the pen had no flow issues in that short time. Also, the nib has proven to be beautifully smooth.Freddynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8345867425183730081.post-29284503253019843672011-12-02T09:43:48.858-08:002011-12-02T09:43:48.858-08:00Thanks, I'll check the ink. Thanks, I'll check the ink.Ira Stonenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8345867425183730081.post-42213722946673226202011-11-30T17:25:47.368-08:002011-11-30T17:25:47.368-08:00Unfortunately, from my limited experience, a pen t...Unfortunately, from my limited experience, a pen that dries up quickly is hard to fix. However, during the short time I have inked up my Ahab, it hasn't dried up one bit. Several hours later it still starts up right away. I will have to see how it performs overnight.

Now you might also want to check the ink you're using. Certain inks are very dry and also tend to dry up quickly in the nib/feed. The Nikita I use in Ahab is very watery and probably that's one of the factors that prevent it from drying up too quickly.Peninkcillinhttp://peninkcillin.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8345867425183730081.post-27135140563135612372011-11-30T17:17:42.321-08:002011-11-30T17:17:42.321-08:00I love the way the pen writes, but have found that...I love the way the pen writes, but have found that getting the flow started after even a brief hiatus, let alone the next day, is almost impossible. I do think I'll take your recommendation of taking it apart to clean before inking it up.Freddynoreply@blogger.com
